About

Bruce Traney has been practicing law in California since admission to the Bar in 1983. Although originally involved in transactional work in the entertainment industry, he became an advocate for the rights of injured consumers, workers and employees in the late 1980s. Since then he has represented individuals in personal injury matters ranging from routine automobile accident cases to more complicated medical malpractice matters as well as employment and labor law disputes and Workers’ Compensation claims. During this time he has successfully advanced the interests of thousands of California’s citizens including representing them in both state and federal court systems.

Currently, Mr. Traney concentrates on wrongful termination matters with his clients typically having been discharged from their employment as a result of illegal and discriminatory reasons such as a persons disability, pregnancy, race or age among other prohibited bases. He also handles more significant personal injury matters including claims and cases arising out of automobile accidents.

Mr. Traney has been a member of many state and national legal organizations which are dedicated to insuring access to the civil justice system to those in need. He is currently a member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles and the California Employment Lawyers Association. Among his many other achievements and pursuits, he is credited with founding the Los Angeles Trial Lawyers’ Charities in 2006 and served as both its Founding President and Chairman. He is currently a Director Emeritus on its Board. Mr. Traney is a true friend of the individual consumer/plaintiff and the legal professionals that serve them.
